Notice of the Ministry of Education on Holding the 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition

The 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition will be held from May to September in 31 competition areas, with a total of 134 events. The opening ceremony of the competition will be held in Weifang, Shandong Province during the vocational education activity cycle in May this year. The implementation plan for the competition is now distributed to you, please make relevant preparations.

The National Vocational College Skills Competition is a major institutional design and innovation in China's vocational education. It has played an important role in leading the "three education" reform, improving the quality of technical and skilled talent training, promoting high-quality employment, serving economic and social development, and assisting Sino foreign vocational education exchange and cooperation. Each competition area should regard running competitions well as an important action measure to learn and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, promote the implementation of the Vocational Education Law of the People's Republic of China, and promote the high-quality development of vocational education. Work should be strictly carried out in accordance with relevant regulations such as the Constitution of the National Vocational College Skills Competition and the Implementation Plan of the National Vocational College Skills Competition (2023-2027), and strengthen risk prevention and control, Ensure that the competition is fair, high-quality, efficient, and clean.

The relevant arrangements for the teaching ability competition of the National Vocational College Skills Competition, the class teacher ability competition of secondary vocational schools, and the teaching ability competition of ideological and political education courses in vocational schools will be notified separately.
